Our Story: A Family Legacy in Key West Real Estate
KeyWestCondos.com has always been more than a real estate website. Its roots go back to my parents, Vince and Karen Taporowski, who spent decades helping people buy, sell, and understand real estate in Key West and the Lower Florida Keys.
Long before online property searches became what they are today, my father was building his own digital guide to Key West real estate. He painstakingly created pages devoted to individual condominium communities and neighborhoods by photographing properties, gathering information, mapping communities, and sharing the kind of local knowledge buyers couldn't easily find anywhere else.
This website was his baby.
My mother, Karen, built her own successful real estate career alongside him, and together they became familiar faces in the Key West real estate community. Their knowledge of the island, their relationships with their customers, and the years they spent helping people find their place in Key West created the foundation for what this website is today.
After losing my dad in 2026, preserving what he created became especially meaningful to me.
Today, I'm bringing KeyWestCondos.com into its next chapter and adding current market information, detailed community guides, rental and licensing information, and the technology today's buyers use to research Key West property. But its purpose remains very much the same as when Dad first started building these pages:
Give people useful, honest, local information and help them make a good decision about owning a piece of Key West.
I'm proud to continue the work my parents started and even prouder that their names and their contribution to Key West real estate remain part of this site.
